Download
the IranWeb2 font and install it in your MacIntosh operating
system X by following these instructions:
Installing the font in System X

Make sure you have a software on your machine capable of uncompressing ZIP files.

Download the font by clicking on this
link (iranweb2-dfont.zip).
-
A file named IranWeb2.dfont should appear on your desktop.

Double click on this file, and a window should open in FontBook
displaying the font.

Check the drop-down menu and be sure that you have four flavors:
regular, italic, bold, bold italic.

Click on Install.

Open your browser and go to the Iranica home page, select General
Preferences, select fonts, for the proportional fonts choose
IranWeb2, and press OK.
Go to any article and you will see the proper dicritics in all
the Encyclopedia pages. Now you may go and enjoy this wealth of
information. (Note, when you revisit this site, if you have
subsequently chosen another proportional width font, you will only
perform step 6 to be able to read the text properly.)
Installing the font in System 9.x

Make sure you have a software on your machine capable of uncompressing ZIP files.

Download the font by clicking on this
link (iranweb2-suit.zip) or this
link(Tar Gzip Format).

Once the file is downloaded and decompressed, make sure you have a file
called iranweb2.suit on your desktop. If it is called iranweb2.suit.1,
rename it to iranweb2.suit.

Drag the suitcase file (iranweb2.suit) containing your font to
the font folder and release the mouse button.

Everytime you start Netscape and come to the Iranica page, select Netscape or Options,
select General Preferences, select fonts, choose user
defined in the box titled, "For the Encoding", for the proportional
fonts choose IranWeb2, and press OK.

Select Options, set encoding to user defined.
You will see the proper dicritics in all the Encyclopedia pages. Now you
may go and enjoy this wealth of information. (Note, when you revisit this
site, you should only perform steps 5 and 6 to be able to read the text
properly.)
Installing the font in System 7.1 and up to 8.x

Download the font by clicking on this
link (iranweb2.suit.hqx).

Once the file is downloaded and decompressed, make sure you have a file
called iranweb2.suit on your desktop. If it is called iranweb2.suit.1,
rename it to iranweb2.suit.

Quit all open programs.You can't make changes to the System file while
programs that use fonts are open.

Drag this suitcase file (iranweb2.suit) containing your font on
top of the System folder and release the mouse button. The System will
ask you if you want to install the fonts.

Click "OK" to start the installation process. The System incorporates your
suitcase file and installs your fonts. The font name will appear in the
font menu.

Everytime you start Netscape and come to the Iranica page, select Options,

NOTE: When you install a font into System 7.0, your suitcase file
is deleted from the folder. There is no easy way to make it into a suitcase
again. If you need to install the same font on another computer, you should
hold down the Option key while you drag the font file over the System folder.
